But could I take a minute to vent? Tuesday, it was pretty obvious that the odds were against me.
This all happened Tuesday:
- Forgot my breakfast
- As it rained on the way to work, I realized that my windshield wipers were way past the point of needing to be replaced.
- Almost ran out of gas
- The gas handle was broken, so I stood outside in the rain, wind, and cold to pump my gas (darn you modern technology fail)
- Of the probably 15 lip products I own, zero were in my car, and my lips were chapped (real bad)
- Target was out of their water (because of Sandy) so I had to get Deer Park! (crisis)
- A coworker almost had a nervous breakdown
- Because of coworker's "almost" nervous breakdown, I have to do additional work because coworker cannot handle it all
- Go to WW early to make vet appointment, there is a closed sign on the door saying that they will be back in 25 minutes.
- I go to the grocery store while WW is closed to kill time and my bag of brussels sprouts breaks and goes everywhere, not once, but twice.
- The guy at the meat counter didn't know how to cut deli meat
- 5 packages of ground turkey fall on me
- There was no pumpkin spice cream cheese to be found
- I go back to WW and they are still closed, I wait in the car 25 additional minutes, nothing.
- I have to call and cancel the vet appointment because I would have never made it on time. (Slade was devastated...)
- Some idiot in a Toyota Highlander stopped at a green light.... luckily I have good breaks.
- I call WW to find out what happened and how I can find out their "true" hours and to really see if I could get a week refunded after I wasted over an hour trying to have someone tell me my weight... and get nowhere.
- T had to work late... at 10 when I went to bed he still wasn't home.
Yes, I realize that this is called LIFE and I need to get over it, but I just wish that things could go smoother some days.
PS. While it wasn't the "official" WW scale, I lost 3.1 lbs... I probably lost about 2.6 counting clothes and all.
