HWT

Happy Wednesday!  It's supposed to be ugly the next two days and then the skies should clear for the weekend!  I really like the sound of that, we hope to head to the farmer's market this weekend and maybe tackle a project or two (as long as it's before 3:30 Saturday so T can watch the NCSU game).

Here are a few things...
  • Our dogs love stuffed monkey toys, I suppose it is because there is so much to keep them entertained (legs, arms, tail and squeaker) and over the years we have had several monkey toys... I was going through their toy basket looking for "Halloween" toys and I found that they tend to be in rough shape!
Some monkey's fair better than others...
  • In our last house everything was lime green and red, it was like that since I had lived in my first apartment.  To be honest I would be okay without seeing red again in the house, lime green is alright, but I lived with it for almost 5 years.  We purchased a red trash can that we use for recycling several years ago and finally I decided it was going to be red no more!
Hello Lagoon

  • Lesson learned:  Don't mention that you found something really cool for your husband for his birthday.... because he will want to go ahead and order it.  I didn't have the heart to tell him no, so now we are left with where to put this guy.
The one spot we had in mind for it is actually impossible to hang it because the seller's nicely put this ridge in the back that is perfect for nail heads.  We hoped to put it in the area between the pantry and the entryway to the DR but there would be no way possible to slide it on the nails :(

So now we will probably rework the long wall of the kitchen into a gallery style wall and hang it on the left side of the entryway to the DR without it looking just "stuck" on the wall.
Contrary to how it looks, that is level, we checked!
*Notice our shadow in the background of the picture above?  He usually follows us around the house where ever we go.... he's even allowed to go check the mail with us and hang out while we unload the car (unfortunately Slade doesn't get these privileges).
