More random thoughts on hump day for ya...

• I recently read that the active ingredients in sunscreen go bad after a year, sometimes even sooner if it is left out in the heat.  T didn't believe me, rolled his eyes, and put on sunscreen once.  We both got fried this weekend out at the pool, 8 hours in the sun really did us in :( I remember when I was in high school and some of college I would go tan, not daily, but at least a couple times a month.  Then I went and learned something.... it isn't good for you.  I haven't tanned in almost two years, I put sunscreen on every hour, and I am a lobster.  I have the tiniest little blisters on my shoulders and the creases of my legs... ouh, painful.  T and I went out and purchased new sunscreen, I think he believed me for once! 
• We are trying out a new food for our boys.  About two months back we went to the Chili and Brew Festival and I walked up to a booth that started producing their own dog food (and cat food for the cat lovers),  I received free treats that day, and a 4 lb bag of my choice delivered to my door.  We stored the sample in our guest bedroom, but Slade got to it a few times, and then Fenway only got to try a little one night.  As of today we are mixing their old food (Blue Buffalo) with a locally made dog food by The Pet Pantry.  Their food is 100% natural and holistic, locally made, and they even deliver to your front door... free.  The ingredients of the food are comparable if not better than what we were feeding the boys, but the best part is that we can get 40 lbs (an additional 10 lbs of food) for the same price we were paying for 30 lbs and having to go to the store, use a coupon, and support a chain store.  This time we purchased their holistic chicken and rice and the boys loved it, Fenway even licked the bowl.  
• I am addicted to painting my nails.  In the past week they have been four different colors and not because they have chipped, but because Friday and Sunday I had nothing better to do but relax and enjoy myself.  I'm loving to color block my nails or do one accent nail.
