Fallen Off the Road

The entire month of December feels like a blur to me.  Here it is almost New Years Eve and I'm JUST NOW thinking back that I haven't blogged in four weeks.  Goodness.  I bet people thought I forgot about my blog!  Truth is that this season just hasn't seemed like Christmas with my grandfather in the hospital.  I have spent more time on the phone with my family in the past month than I have in a year probably (thank goodness for unlimited minutes).  I haven't been able to be "productive" lately and I had quite a few little projects planned:
  • hoped to have the wallpaper down in our master bath and painted
  • frames hung in the LR
  • have a small Christmas get together with friends
  • make some Christmas presents (can't tell b/c they might become birthday presents)
  • organize the hall closet
  • get together with a long lost friend
  • make feather ornaments (and possibly feather trees)
  • a whole stack a recipes I wanted to try
None of these things were done.  I'm okay with that.  Instead I have spent each weekend with family and I don't regret it one bit.  Have I spent a small fortune in gas? Yes.  Have I missed spending time with T? Yes.  Have the dogs thought I left them each weekend? Yes, and it broke my heart.
