A year in review

As I look back this year I truly feel that we are very fortunate, and I don't take that for granted.  Sure I would like another job, but I'm thankful to have the  one that I have.  I would like to think I am very lucky to have someone like T in my life.  Before I get too mushy... Let's take a stroll down memory lane...
We celebrated last NYE in Boone at a cabin with friends.
In front of the cabin... it was all snow the first night and then a solid sheet of ice the second.  We parked at a neighbors and walked down (yes, we fell a few times).
We decided to come back after dinner since we learned the cabs couldn't get to the cabin, but we still had champagne!
Wedding Shower (my dad and his sisters)
Bought our first house!! (This picture is after about 3 months)
We were happy to give our boys a fenced in yard with our big house purchase!
Our first meal as homeowners (we like to keep it classy)
I did something I will never do again.... paint ceiling beams on a 10'ladder
 Got married (4/9/11) ...
 In paradise!
Our first home improvement purchase (the first were gutters, not much fun).  We probably could have built a deck ourselves but without the tools and our 33 year old one was rotted and falling apart we decided to go ahead and hire someone.
Had my first worry that my husband could electrocute himself...
Found the world's best cupcakes (Gigi's cupcakes)
Participated in the Missoni craze... this was unknowingly the first "craze" that I actually wanted.
Our second attempt at grass growing (fingers crossed, it's still alive)
Learned what having a yard full of trees meant...
Our first (and hopefully ONLY) deer run in.... I hope that our four legged friends with antlers stay on the side of the road from now on (for their sake and our cars)
Tailgated with our first friends to become parents
Our first time taking T's parents to NCSU tailgates.... this was some celebration dance... I cannot explain any further.
First non traditional colored Christmas tree (also, our first time with a fake tree...we're in love though)
Our outdoor living area, not the best picture but we love our deck.  Now that we have an outdoor heater we can't wait to spend a nights out there with a nice glass of wine (thanks to T's parents for the outdoor heater - they will get to experience it first hand this weekend)
T loves building fires now that we have a fireplace
Now that I see the just a few of the memories that we have made it makes me that much more excited about what the future holds for us.  If this is what our first year of marriage is looking like I'm excited for the next five, ten, twenty, forty... okay I better stop in case T reads this and has a heart attack ;)

Happy 2012. <3
