Remember our bathroom has the lovely gold/orangey wallpaper?

| See the gold orangey... not working |
So back in November (yes November 2011) I started to take down the wallpaper. The gold paper came off pretty quickly and then there was the coat of wallpaper behind it... that looked like it was from the late 70's. It had been painted over by some type of primer. I tried to use spray and that was a joke. I purchased a steamer and learned that I HATE the steamer - messy, wet, sticky, gross. Fast forward six months through T slicing his hand open, my grandfather having a stroke and passing away, many many weekends away from home, family visiting, and attempting to still have a social life I gave up. I could get the wallpaper off and then there were gashes taken out from the wall that I worried that I was doing more damage than good.

| After I get the second coat of wallpaper off.... this was what was underneath. |
I was at a loss. T even came in and watched how mucho of a mess it was to do. He agreed with me that we could call someone and have them come in and help.
After waiting for an unknown painter/wallpaper person to call for over three weeks I googled wallpaper and called the first family owned business I found on the list. I found
Hankins Wallpaper and I cannot say enough great things about them! They came the next day to give an estimate and got us not he schedule to help us out in a week. Their son came and
solved ally he world problems saved our wall. I am a from believer that there is an art to wallpaper removal and patching walls.
The bad news? he found another layer of wallpaper!!!! There were three layers on that wall!!!

| Check out the sweet sweet wallpaper |
 |
| It's a hot mess. The blue ink in the wallpaper would come off in your hands - I'm sure this will later be proven to cause cancer or something. |
So after all the patches were complete, here is what we are left with.... drying time. The patch has to dry before we can sand it down smooth.
 |
| My wall has chicken pox |
 |
| The sad thing is that this is progress! |
Sanding will come next.... then priming.... and painting.
