Our Weekend

It was cold.  This many sound pathetic to any northerners but Sunday was a high of 40 degrees.  This was one of our coldest days yet this "winter" season, and by "winter" season I mean the lovely spring-like weather we have been experiencing.  I fully expect to have one extremely HOT summer since our winter has been so mild.  BUT I long for the nights when I can sit outside and sip on a cold drink in shorts or sundress.
Let me vent for just one minute... I wanted to begin to make a few things that I have "pinned" on Pinterest lately.  I go to Michael's to purchase my supplies only to find my craft cart half full.  In order to complete a project it has to be completely full.  Add an additional 3 OTHER craft stores.... still could not find everything I was looking for.  Am I the only person that gets frustrated when you are trying to do a fun project and cannot find the materials you need to complete it? Sigh.  (T says I need pills for this)

Friday was date night:
  • Dinner at Buku - a first for us, but we LOVED everything and will go again
  • Sweetwater rep bought us each a beer
  • Holy Ghost Tent Revival at Lincoln Theatre
Saturday
  • Lunch with my girlfriends at Side Street (highly recommend)
  • Marathon of home improvement and craft stores
  • Purchased supplies to complete some crafts/projects in the upcoming weeks.
  • Take out Bombay Beijing
  • Meredith and I dominated Catch Phrase (other exciting news: New Jersey IS a state)
Sunday
  • Slept way too late... waking up at almost 9am really messed up my sleep schedule this morning.
  • Went to the 4th craft store of the weekend
  • Dreamed our way through Green Front
  • Checked out Revival Antiques, a really neat store that a friend recommended.  The buy old antiques and you can buy them "as is" or they can refinish to your liking.  They have a showroom and a warehouse.  The warehouse is where they have the pieces marked with two prices.
  • Battled the cold to go on a walk with Katelyn
Brave Baby - opening band for HGTR
IT WAS SO HOT IN THERE - note to self don't sit upstairs in the winter time.
 Holy Ghost Tent Revival
They all hop around on the stage... of course the picture doesn't do it justice
 This cabinet caught my eye
This one had already been refinished in their showroom.
Another one refinished in their showroom.
This sideboard had a smaller table that matched... so tempting.
My whopping $8 purchase from Revival Antiques.  They make doing dishes a little better.
T's pick from Green front.  Our first horse head.
A crackled bunny.  Our new door stop for the SR.
We had a good weekend.  It was nice and relaxing and we did a little bit of everything.  I think the mornings we have the opportunity to sleep in a little bit, make breakfast, and spend the morning on the couch with the boys are always the start of great weekends!
