One step forward, Two steps back

While I was in Morehead this past weekend T had a sudden burst of motivation and swapped out our lights that we had purchased on sale at Lowes (many) months ago.  They were wall sconces to go beside the mirror in our master bath that have the same shade as the ceiling fixture that we installed when we first moved into the house.  I was so excited when he told me.... until I got home to see that because the new fixtures were wider than the old ones the oval mirror we had no longer fit.... he took a mirror that we had hanging in the guest bedroom at the townhouse to put there temporarily.  It is too big too considering the shade and the mirror's frame touch :(
I guess I have two options:
  1. Beg T to move them on the wall.  This will take a lot of begging since we will have to take down the wallpaper, cut holes in the wall, and patch where the old ones were.
  2. Find another mirror.  I have seen a lot of mirrors with thin gold/antique style frames that give a eclectic look that may work if I can find one (that won't break the bank).
This is what we are working with... a little close for comfort.
I like the way they look... 86 the wallpaper and mirror.  Notice we are thinking about possible paint colors in the lower right corner.
This is the ceiling light that we purchased them to match.  I know the metal finish is different but until we find a mirror I don't want to make any changes.
Frame meet shade, shade meet frame... they like each other a lil much.
