Our Weekend

T's parents were in town this weekend.  I did a few things in a hurry over the past week so that they would see a difference since their last visit.  When they arrived I forgot that they had not been here in a good while (almost four months).  They had not seen the deck, the hallway or bathroom painted, and many other little things we have done.  So they DID see a difference which made me happy - I don't want it to appear like all we do is sit around lol.  We do want this house to turn into our home and it is a work it progress - I just want it to appear that way!!

We had a nice diner at Firebird's Friday night.  They are doing their "Thank You Card Promotion"  - each time you eat at the location at the end of your dinner.  It could be a free appetizer, desert, $10, $20, $50, etc off your next visit at any location.  We had a $50 off!  (Holla!) and I had an extra glass of wine because of it! :)

Saturday we woke up and cooked breakfast at our place - Belgium waffles, eggs, bacon, fruit.  Mmm.
Then it was prepping for the game.... T and his dad packed the car up with all our tailgating gear while his mom made mexican layered dip and I made macaroni salad and turkey burgers.  T typically doesn't like turkey burgers so each time we make them now I try to "spice" things up a bit by stuffing/mixing the meat with different things to add flavor.  This time I mixed worcestershire sauce, cheese, garlic, and parsley into our turkey burgers.  Please see our disposable grill - it was a little humorous but it got the job done :) (Our usual couple we have season tickets with have a nice grill and we were going to go buy one for one game)

You can't beat $3 grill!

One of our friend's (that will remain nameless) brought her stuff in a Yoda backpack!  He creeped me out a little bit sitting in the front seat.

The ONLY half decent picture we have from that day, here we are!

Sunday everyone was sleeping in and I went for a run - thank goodness after everything I ate on Saturday!  We lounged around and then had lunch at the Farmer's Market Restaurant.  It was AMAZING.  If you are ever in the Raleigh area - be sure to get some good southern food.  The rest of the day was spent with the NFL and relaxing with a mimosa.

Anyone accomplish anything this weekend?  Do anything fun?  I'm so excited that it was cool and that Fall officially starts this Friday!
