Also at the farmer's market T and I agreed that it was time to do something with the pathetic pots that have had dead plants (previously talked about here) in them since we moved in next to our side door. These two Sky Pencil Holly trees caught my eye. They are just adorable! At $4 each I was quickly sold.
(Excuse the horrendous picture - T went out to take it because I have forgotten for two days now and I'm in PJ's)
I plan to give the pots a fresh coat of black paint and get these boys in this weekend (more on weekend projects later in the week). Maybe if I make the pots feel/look better they will take better care of my precious holly's? Come on, look at what is in them now.... I obviously need all the help I can get!
Now I was all good to go and then T's mom steered over where there was an entire vendor of houseplants, succulents, etc. When I saw that they were only $2 each they quickly caught my eye. I have seen the same plants (smaller) at Lowe's for double the price. These two little guys came home with me. I need to find a small pot for them to live.
We also walked around World Market. It's always nice to walk around and see what is new in there. I probably am late on this bandwagon but I found stemless champagne glasses at $2 each - yes four came home with me :) (I may be slightly obsessed with stemless glassware)
And since they came home with me I figured it was only proper to use them. Hello Mimosa Sunday!
I read/looked through three magazines with the help of this little guy!
I think getting out of the farmer's market with a huge bag of apples, two bushes, and two succulents for $17 isn't too shabby. World Market wasn't a bad stop either totaling to ~$8.50 for four stemless champagne glasses. It was a great little afternoon. I will try to work on the whole remembering thing. How do you work on your memory? Are there exercises? Google may be able to help me out, lol.
