Valentine's Day is right around the corner!! Can I just say that it is such a relief to have a husband? I remember back in early college days if you weren't dating anyone at the time it was one of those days you wanted to just stay in bed for and skip it altogether. Husband's are great - it's like a guaranteed date night! Over the past five years (eek! This will be our fifth Valentine's Day!) T and I have changed it up. We've done the cooking in thing, we've gone out to eat, we've done the traditional gifts, and then last year we decided that we would have it our way. Now that I think about it, we have always had Seafood on Valentine's.... how odd? Two sushi restaurants, we grilled scallops and make homemade seafood chowder, McCormick and Schmick's, and this year we're going to Bonefish. Confession - we kinda cheated on the gifts. Instead of flowers, candy or jewelry Tyler and I buy each other something that we want (don't get me wrong - the others are great). T and I bought each other new running shoes last Valentine's Day, a couple of our friend's laughed when we told them, but it was something that we wanted (and have used). Fast forward a year and I need new running shoes (since T plays basketball frequently his aren't as bad) and T wanted a new pair of every day shoes. So I bring you our Valentine's Day presents.
Yes, they really are THAT bright.
I chose these for two reasons; asics have been the best wearing work out shoes I have found and I love pink (it also helped that people would see me when I'm running outdoors)
This pair marks his second pair like this (the others are greenish tones)

Does anyone else have a weird thing about gifts? I'd like to think we had fun online shopping together looking for our finds.
