Today marks two weeks after Christmas and our Christmas decor is still up. It hasn't bothered me to be up, but the tree does need to come down (partially because I want to encourage T so we can start on the banquet area). In my only defense we had company last weekend and I have been waiting for a certain Target shipment to arrive. When we purchased the fake tree the box wasn't in the best shape and from the words of my uncle "you'll never fit that thing in there again," so I ordered a tree bag after Christmas from Target online (there were none left in stores the few days after Christmas). I don't necessary mind buying stuff online from Target since we have the Target Red card and we get 5% off and free shipping. The bag arrived three days ago and this today it is going to come down! I hope it wouldn't take me too long to take down since I have all the boxes for bulbs and our Hallmark ornaments (we buy a few each year after they go on sale). I also have many other little plans for the day while T's eyes will be glued to Playoffs... sigh.
Speaking of Target (y'all know I'm addicted to Target, right?) I have been to a couple stores throughout this past week for a few reasons. I initially went to find a few new workout wear items, since I am going to the gym more frequently and Clorox ruined a pair of pants I figured that I deserve some new gym gear right? Don't worry, I didn't go crazy or anything. Everything included: 2 sports bras, 1 workout top, 2 workout pants, and a half zip pullover. Let me tell you, I used to always think that the girls in college who wore workout clothes all the time to class were just lazy but now that I have been introduced to this breathable half zip pullover I am in love and wish I would've worn them back in the day!
During the first Target trip this week I was consumed by picking out workout clothing I completely forgot about the everyday items I needed to pick up (razors and face wash).... so back to Target (oh darn) and this time I actually walked around the store some. I found 90% off Christmas stuff! Holla! I purchased some bulbs regularly $5 a pack for $.50, a 6' tall tree for $2.50, and some more felt tree ornaments in packs of 3 for $.10. I was so excited that I begged T to take me to the next closest Target to see if they had anything different, the good hubby that he is said yes. The other store didn't have 90% off (75%), but they did have some cute dog toys on sale $3 for the pack. We shopped around the 2nd Target of the night we found a quilt for $27 originally $90, since I like to change out our bedding from time to time it came home with us. While I was searching every clearance spot for the pillow shams, T found a pendant light for $12... I can't find it on the website but its about 8" deep and 15" in diameter. This made me jump up and down since we have been looking for one for the kitchen area for about the length of time we have lived in the house... seriously when we first moved in the chandelier must have hit T and I in the heads 5 times before we finally raised it up! Maybe I can pull T away from football long enough to figure out why the existing light fixture shorted out, repair the issue, and install the new one? Maybe? So all in all we I was uber excited that we went to Target again!

Here is the quilt. While I do like the sham's they are only offered in standard pillow sizes and even on sale they were not marked down as much as the quilt was (because if it were, that would make too much sense). Since paying $10 for each sham was a little more than we wanted to pay (especially because we would need three for our king size bed) I think we will be looking for some shams elsewhere. Maybe in a larger print in turquoise/aqua color?
Everyone needs some squeaky sausage, crunchy cashews, and rubber pears, right?
Fenway was excited.... Slade wanted to know why they weren't real.
After Slade got over that he wasn't getting real sausage.... he was excited.
Right now.... this is my DR table. I have a busy Sunday.
