There are a few things that I use almost everyday (if not daily) that I tend to keep out on the bathroom counter top. Of course T can put away his deodorant which is pretty much the extent of his daily needs (other than a toothbrush). Before we started working on the bathroom, my side of the counter top was getting a little out of control, especially towards the end of the week when it came cleaning time. Recently I purchased a "desk organizer" to help corral all the random items that usually end up knocked over and make the counter top look like a complete mess.

Let me tell you about a few of these products...
 |
| These two products are two of the best products I have found that help give my hair that "be achy" look and it is VERY hard to achieve that look when you have fine straight hair. The Aussie "Sprunch" runs about $4 while the Fekkai "Coiff" runs about $25 (I purchased with a coupon and free shipping from a site online). On a average week I use these once or twice. |

| This leave in conditioner is a lifesaver if you have long hair. |
My hairstylist introduced me to this product a few years ago and I have repurchased several times since then. "It's a 10" is pretty much what is sounds like, it is supposed to offer 10 benefits to your hair; repair dry damaged hair, adds shine, detangles, control frizz, seals and protects hair color, prevents split ends, stops hair breakage, creates silkiness, enhances natural body, and it a flat iron spray/thermal protectant. Do I think it does all of these things perfectly? No. I do think it is great at protecting your hair from heat and detangles without leaving my hair feeling weighed down.

| Oscar Blandi's "Pronto" Dry Shampoo. With fine hair it is nearly impossible to not wash my hair daily, I have found that this is as good as it gets for me. This is a trial size that I have had almost a year usually using a couple times a week. I previously purchased the aerosol spray version but the nozzle clogged twice, sephora replaced it the first time, but the second I said the heck with it (maybe it's just my luck?). |
While I'm not going to go over the deodorant, lotion, or hair spray - because I don't think they are particularly "special" I do want to tell you what I have found to be the best thing for my face lately.
 |
| Neutrogena's Clear Pore Astringent and Simple's Cleaning Facial Wipes. I feel like my skin changes from month to month and my face is significantly oilier int he summer. The Simple wipes do a great job of taking off my make up without having a strong scent or leaving a greasy feeling. The Clear Pore will really dry up the oily areas of your face, it suggests to use up to three times daily on the bottle but I tend to use whenever my face feels a little oily (usually at night before I go to bed). |
While I do not use some of these products everyday, it makes more sense for me to leave them out rather than to pull them out from underneath (my newly organized) cabinet so they make their home on top. I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty minimalistic on a daily basis when it comes to the products I use in my morning routine. I feel like the less you put on, the less problems you will have with your skin/face. I do only purchase good quality foundation powder, facial lotion, blushes, and bronzers because I do believe from my experience that they can make your face break out!
PS. Ignore the background, we still haven't made time to sand the bathroom walls, prime and paint yet. Hopefully SOON!
