This month Birchbox teamed up with Glamour to create a box themed based on the 5 senses. It's nice that Birchbox makes the effort to do something special like this while still providing a good variety of products in the box. I'm happy with my box this month, I think I was too hard on Birchbox in the beginning compared to all the other sample services - it's pretty darn good for the price.
Here we go...

 |
| The five senses theme goes with Glamour's July issue of celebrating them. |
 |
| It wasn't quite as neatly put in there as it usually is - but I'm okay with that. |
The goods:
- Color Club - Blue Ming: A pastel mint colored nail polish. I have loved mint all season, but unfortunately I have an Essie polish almost identical in color (I could keep this one at work though). I should also mention that this is my second color club polish and the first one stayed on pretty well with a top coat so I think they are good quality polishes.
- Gloss Moderne - High-Gloss Masque: The white tub above is a vitamin-rich conditioning complex for your hair. This product smells amazing. I like the fact that it is free of sulfates, sodium chloride, and paragons too. This is about the fourth that I have received samples of, but because I have long hair I don't mind trying them all out since it can only help my dry ends!
- Harvey Prince - Eau Flirt: Thank goodness for a good smelling perfume sample!! I never knew what "scents" made up the perfumes I like until I started receiving Birchbox because I have learned that I like the citrusy scents (weird - because I'm not a fan or orange or lemon scented items). This perfume has layers of citrus, jasmine, lavender and pumpkin... ask me to identify each of these and it would be a lost cause - but it is a fun fresh perfume!
- Manna Kadar - sheer glo shimmer lotion: This is a shimmer lotion that can be mixed with your foundation or applied by itself on cheek and brow bones. I haven't purchased a luminizer or shimmer lotion before since I fear it would translate as greasy/shiny- but I'm excited to try one out.
- suki - Balancing Kit: This five step facial kit is supposed to smooth and hydrate your skin giving it a better appearance. I'm sure products that are meant to go together help your skin avoid irritation or break outs and at $40 for the entire kit it is one of the more affordable professional facial kits out there on the market. I wish I had more than a small foil pack of each one to try because usually it takes a couple days to know if my face is going to break out or not from a product.
Extras
- LARABAR - Über: I already love these all natural fruit and nut bars because they only have whole ingredients. This one was on the more nuttier side, I typically like their apple pie or peanut butter chocolate chip.
- Earbuds: neon pink and green headphones - I plan to keep these in my car at all times in case I ever loose the ones with my iPod.

| Size comparison with my hand - this luminizer will last me forever |
 |
| I guess Birchbox wants me to have all the mint colors (darker one from a earlier box) |
Birchbox was good to me this month. The variety of products was nice. I'm pleased and excited to try the skin care line (that typically I wouldn't be excited about) since it is affordable and I have an entire line to try out.
