Birchbox Man

Earlier this month Birchbox released a male box.  Since I have fallen in love with Birchbox I immediately showed T and asked if he thought he would like to try it out.  He thought that it was cool that in my Birchbox I have learned about some new products that without it I wouldn't never purchased.  Approximately two weeks later it arrives...

Different box - larger and it slides out instead of coming with a lid
Same setup - lets you know whats in the box and how Birchbox works.
The goods.

  • Kiehl's - Ultimate Man Body Scrub Soap: I thought that the scrub soap bar was a great idea for a guy because how many guys do you know that uses a loofah? washcloth? pumice stone?  Exactly.  T hasn't used this one but plans to after his current body wash is used.
  • Billy Jealousy - Liquid Sand Exfoliating Facial Cleanser: T used this facial cleanser the day that he opened the box.  He seems to like it (how detailed do you think he will really be about beauty products?) he said his face didn't feel too dry/tight from exfoliating but clean and non greasy.
  • CoSTUME NATIONAL - Scent Intense: The warm amber base is slightly different that the scents T usually wears, but it is a nice change to try when we go out to dinner.  ***It's a good thing he didn't fall in love with it since it is $140 a bottle***
  • Richer Poorer - socks: This was the "flair" as Birchbox described it... T didn't exactly know what to think at first (obviously my husband doesn't have multi colored socks or patterned) so he kind of gave me the "WTH is this" look for a few moments.  The flip side of the card that came on the top of the box goes into detail about having the perfect pant cuff.
Birchbox Man comes with more full size products, which I feel allows you to try the products longer to get a better feel if you do/don't like them enough to actually purchase.  Let me tell you that this box is double the price as the women's box and while T did like 2 of the 4 products in the box we don't know if we will be keeping the subscription due to the price.  We did go online and update his "profile" so I hope he doesn't get any more socks with directions on how to make the perfect man cuff.

*Birchbox does not perk us in any way shape or form, I simply want to share what we receive in our boxes to help others know just what Birchbox is all about :)

  1. OK - I need this Birchbox deal. I have enjoyed seeing what all you get, and now I'm a little envious. I think you showed a link to it in an older post - you've inspired me to subscribe!

    1. I like being able to try new products at fractions of the cost of the full size bottles. http://www.birchbox.com/
Let them know you heard about it from me, I think I get points?!
