Our Weekend

Friday @ 5pm could have have came sooner for me last week.  It was just one of those days when you really want to get out of the office, everyone has those right? By the end of the work day I really just wanted to go home curl up on the couch with the dogs and call it a day.  Instead I told myself to go to the gym..... only traffic was so bad I opted for doing a circuit workout at home while watching Sister Wives.  In the midst of my workout T come home with these in hand.
Saturday morning we woke up at the crack of dawn to get to tailgate for our Wolfpack, it was kind of a big game since we were playing our rivals UNC..... if you take a look at the picture below.... you will see there wasn't exactly a rush to get in at 7:30AM!!!!!  BTW: We won 13-0  What's that Flagship? :)
We arrived in the parking lot promptly at 7:30AM and it was 39 degrees.  This picture doesn't prove just how cold I was....but T thought I was funny all bundled up.  I thought the boots would have been a good choice but my toes were numb within minutes of sitting down.
The one good thing about tailgating so early is you get your choice of spots and you get to watch the Today show instead of football games :)
I wasn't too terribly productive this weekend (this seems to be an ongoing theme) but I did manage the finish my bulbs.  I decided to try my idea I talked about here where I would attempt to have paint in roughly half the bulb and then glitter the other half.  I tried it both ways (paint first then glitter and glitter and then paint) and failed.  The Pledge and paint just don't mix.  It was a good shot to try something different - a little water and drying time held me up from finishing the last few but I am pleased with how they all turned out.  One problem I ran into was with the ones that have paint (yellow, white, and grey ones) is that I wanted to get a good runny-like look so I added additional paint when I started and clearly I shouldn't have and simply had patience with the natural run of the paint.  Problem being is that some are STILL not dry 3 days later :(  Hopefully they will dry in the next day or so otherwise I will have to pull out the hairdryer to them (I'm trying not to do that since I'm afraid they might crack).  One bulb with the paint did crack and I'm not sure how it did?  I was very careful and didn't drop anything?  Oh well, it can go on the back of the tree!
38 pretty bulbs done.... I think I need more though!
See the puddle of paint in the bottom? :(  I guess I do need patience.
Sorry - bad picture, I know.
You can really see the puddle of paint in this one...
So did anyone else make any ornaments or am I the only crazy person that can't wait to see the trees at Lowes?!?!
