Is it Thursday Already?! I'm not sure why but this week has flown by for us. I imagine that having a commitment each day keeping us busy has a lot to do with it. While it is almost the weekend, I am indifferent.
I have another home show to work. Let me take a moment to explain vent my feelings on home shows. This may be biased from being requiring to work them.... so please ignore my opinion if you love them. I would rather google companies, research their reviews, and set up multiple appointments to have quotes. I feel this would prepare and make the customer more knowledgeable than walking through a home show. Now - my reasoning is that you are charged to walk through the show, many people expect to get quotes which 95% of the services must visit the site before quoting, and most vendors use the same set ups year to year (so nothing new typically).
1. We attempted to get grass growing in April when we moved in... however that quickly turned to weeds and then when we had no spring, straight to summer, it died off because the roots just didn't have enough time (sad face). A few days ago T sprayed our entire yard to kill off all weeds. We hope to cultivate and plant grass. (My dad thinks we should sod sections.... I told him I didn't know we had won the lottery)
At least all the weeds are dying!
2. The pendant light we purchased from West Elm needs a home - maybe if I am lucky T will hang this while I am at work on Saturday?
Good-bye ugly! We hit our heads at least 5 times each before we finally moved it up... now it will go permanently
Slade and Fenway voted for one of these to have over their bowls.
(I think they have good taste)
3. Weather permitting I have a few spray painting projects that will not take a long time - but rain could totally take this out of the picture.
I'd say I have a few things to spray!
4. IF it does rain I hope to decide on a paint color for the guest bedroom and paint it! (This would be the BIG project of the weekend)
We want to stay with a muted color palate since the room is on the small side.
The hard part is that each of the colors we have chosen are different.
We are leaning towards one though... guess which one?
5. Visit Michael's and see what kind of cost we are talking about to have the two etsy prints framed. Something simple like a thin metal frame and 1 1/2" mat around?
I'm tired already!
