1. Paint the trim in the bathroom. We took doors down the first day we moved in because in our small bathroom, there were six doors. We are not down to two! I patched where the hinges were and have been meaning to paint it for... almost 4 months.
This is one of the two closets that had full size swing out doors.
I also fill in the poorly installed lock part of the sliding door. We couldn't imagine ourselves locking the door to the shower or loo....
2. Clean out the guest bedroom nightstand. There is stuff in those drawers that we have no touched in over two years.... its time to purge. We could use this space for spare throws, photos, and the many random things that need a "home" in our home.
As you can see, it just collected junk. This will hopefully stop :)
3. Hang the mirror that I snatched from my grandmother. This was in her house 1976, the last 10-15 years it has lived in her attic. It was some sort of gold leaf -ish finish. It will go in our guest bathroom.
Note to self - taping was a waste of time, razors work better.
Freshened up!
Detailing
4. This arrived on Tuesday. This is our latest big purchase that we have been saving for....
Hint: This is something T wanted.
5. Switch out the dirty flickering light switch in the kitchen.
This is not paint or dirt, it is literally like scratches where the coating has worn off.
Of course we also plan to relax some. T had his wisdom teeth out this past Tuesday so he is still recovering. Maybe some live music somewhere nearby?
I love productive weekends, and I LOVE that mirror! How pretty it turned out!
ReplyDeleteI figured that if I post it on here - we will be more likely to actually complete stuff!
ReplyDeleteI was lucky about the mirror, there were some imperfections over the years but luckily the paint covered everything up!
