Somehow beyond some of our friends belief we chose this house over a brand spanking new house that was just built. When we first started looking at houses new build was an option, but as we narrowed down to cities, zip codes, and neighborhoods we soon realized location trumped age. We knew we wanted to be in an area that was developed (aka. so there is a tree in your yard over 6' tall) and we wanted to be central to shopping (driving 20 minutes to a grocery store is not something we had in mind) and last but not least we wanted something that was built to last (having a job in the construction industry builders cut costs as much as possible today). By no means is the house perfect, but within our budget the location and floor-plan works for us. Many people would say that 1455 sq ft is tiny, okay I understand that and can respect that, but for a newlywed couple that does not plan to have kids we thought why do we really need a big house? We have a small family so no need to have a table that seats 8-10 people, we usually entertain in small groups, and we don't enjoy cleaning wasted space!
Check out the space and give feedback on what you like and don't like..... then we will tell you what we have done and plan to do (one day).
